Jan Lively has been a teacher of Zhineng Qigong since
2002 and was certified by Master Liu Yuantong of the Tai Ji Healing
Center in Meishan, China. She has also studied with Mingtong Gu,
Luke Chan, and Frank Chan. She travels to China regularly for
advanced training.
Jan was
diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998. In 2001, the cancer recurred,
this time throughout the liver and spine. She began practicing
Qigong and immediately experienced its benefits as her strength and
energy improved even during chemotherapy treatments. With daily
practice, her health continued to improve and she now is living a
healthy and active life, teaching classes and workshops in Dayton.
She also travels to other locations in the U.S. to teach special
workshops upon request.
In addition, Jan
is one of the founders of The Noble Circle Project: Women
Thriving Beyond Cancer, which promotes self-healing through
Qigong, Whole Foods Nutrition, and Group Support. (See
www.NobleCircle.org.)
